Angelina Ama Tutuah Mensah

Angelina Ama Tutuah Mensah is a multi-skilled professional with over three decades of experience in public service, high-profile corporate communication, public relations, environmental management, and climate change negotiations.

She is known for her strong technical and creative writing skills, excellent communication and IT capabilities, and a flexible, team-oriented approach that allows her to thrive in positions of great responsibility. She brings proven experience in research, training, development, and the coordination of multi-sectoral initiatives.

She currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Katowice Committee of Experts (KCI) on the Impacts of the Implementation of Response Measures under the UNFCCC, and as Ghana’s National Expert and Negotiator on Response Measures and the Just Transition Work Programme with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Her work also includes contributing to Ghana’s National Communication and Biennial Update Report (BUR) obligations under the UNFCCC, focusing on cross-cutting issues such as gender, Article 6, response measures, and Just Transition.

A committed gender advocate, she negotiates on Gender and Climate Change and previously served on Ghana’s Gender Working Group, where she led coordination on gender integration under the NDC Support Programme. She has played a key role in mainstreaming gender considerations across Ghana’s climate actions and policies. She also coordinated the implementation of the Green Jobs Assessment Model (GJAM), which assesses employment and social impacts in the context of Ghana’s Nationally Determined Contributions.

In addition to her policy work, she has contributed significantly to public discourse. She was a columnist for over three years in The Weekly Spectator, where she wrote over 100 articles on gender, religion, environment, and climate change, and was also a guest writer for The Daily Graphic.

She serves on several boards, including the Women Environment Programme (WEP) in Nigeria, and is a Cross-Sector Expert with Salzburg Global Seminar (Austria) and Climate Strategies (UK). She also previously served on the Board of Metro Mass Ghana.
