On Tuesday, 1st July 2025, the Africa Centre for Nature-based Climate Action (AC4NCA), led by its Board Chair, Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, paid a courtesy call on the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Accra.
The visit formed part of AC4NCA’s ongoing diplomatic and institutional engagement efforts aimed at introducing the Centre’s vision and objectives to key stakeholders. During the meeting, the delegation engaged in a fruitful discussion with embassy officials on potential areas of collaboration in advancing climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and nature-based solutions across the continent. The dialogue also explored opportunities for knowledge exchange, joint initiatives, and strengthened partnerships between the Centre and the DR Congo in addressing shared environmental challenges.

The Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo, H.E. Jeannette Njuma Nyakeru, assured
AC4NCA of her country’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability and regional cooperation in addressing climate change. She emphasized the DR Congo’s dedication to advancing nature-based solutions and preserving Africa’s rich biodiversity. H.E. Njuma Nyakeru also expressed the Embassy’s willingness to partner with the Centre, when called upon, in its ongoing efforts to promote climate resilience, foster regional dialogue, and implement practical, community-led initiatives across the continent.
